NJIS IS THE PLACE 2
My work journey up to a new experience. Working in one of the big schools in the North Jakarta area that was established in the 1980's and became a great school.
Working as a librarian is a very exhilarate job for me, library is a very pleasant place, maybe it's for me, but my job is to make sure how I can pass it on to people especially to the students who are studying and getting into the library are just as exciting as I feel.
Currently NJIS is in repair and room library room a lot of changes. More ideas I can make this school library the best place in this school environment.

A library environment
Library as the heart of the school, libraries are the best place for students to do their schoolwork. Not only for doing their schoolwork but it also the place for them to socialize and mingle with their friends. The library is also a great place for the students to find internet sites as their reference lesson. The number of books in this library cannot be said few but it also not that much, it's not a matter of how much do we have, I do not want to make the library just as "Book Warehouse", but more to the library is the center of science even with a limited collection of books in it and all the books can be useful and beneficial for all the teachers and students needs.
This is the journey of my new life and I will start with all the experience that I have earned before. The most valuable lesson is the past, which will be a lesson in the future. Like opening a new page on a book, I never know what will happen but a new adventure will always be fun eventually.

MOVE ON TO JAKARTA |
At a glance
Before 1958, all Caltex-employees' (local native or expatriate) children went to the American School, although there were no gap between expatriate kids and natives. The History of the school is closely tied to the development of the oil fields in central Sumatra by P.T. Caltex Pacific Indonesia (CPI). In , after the discovery of petroleum, expatriates began to arrive in Sumatra to assist with the development of these fields. After World War II, additional expatriates arrived and the camps of Rumbai, Duri, and Minas were formed. The camps soon developed all of the attributes of small town in the United States. As housing was deveoped in the camps, families began to arrive and the need for a school became evident.
In 1953, the management of CPI first established the American School in Rumbai. Three years later, the American School in Duri was opened. A preschool program was developed in Minas in 1991. These schools were established to educate the dependents of expatriate employees of CPI and its contractors.
At first, American School was given the Rumbai Plaza which had one classrooms, side-by-side with the SRC*.
